Dr. McBrien is a highly experienced, board-certified otolaryngologist with over 40 years in practice. Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, she is an esteemed member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Surgical Services Operations Committee and Section Head of Otolaryngology at Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak.
Dr. McBrien completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She pursued a General Surgery internship at the University of Michigan, followed by an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. Additionally, she has received specialized training in endoscopic sinus surgery for both pediatric and adult patients.
Her research spans both medical and surgical management of ear and sinus diseases, with particular interest in pediatric otolaryngology and comprehensive sinus disease treatment across age groups. A recognized educator, Dr. McBrien has received awards for her contributions to teaching and research and is actively involved in training residents and medical students at Beaumont Health System.
