General Surgery

Overview

General surgery is a medical specialty that focuses on the surgical treatment of a wide range of conditions affecting various parts of the body. Unlike other surgical specialties that concentrate on one organ or system, general surgeons are trained to operate on multiple areas, particularly the abdomen and its contents, but also breast, skin, soft tissues, and endocrine system.
