UnaSource Surgery Center understands that having surgery can be stressful, and even more so when your child is the patient. At UnaSource, we are committed to providing a comfortable and worry-free experience for you and your child for pediatric surgeries and other specialized care.
From the moment your family walks into our lobby, your little one will feel comforted by the warm, welcoming environment. Whether your child chooses to admire the wildlife in our fish tank, or simply snuggle with you on our lobby couches, he or she can feel more at ease. When it’s time for the procedure, a pediatric-certified nurse on your child’s dedicated care team will escort your family to one of our private patient rooms.
While our little VIP is cuddled up watching Disney from their own comfy bed, you will have the opportunity to speak with the child’s surgeon and anesthesiologist. From this point on you will feel reassured, knowing that the most important person in your life will be in very good hands with our team.
Following surgery, your child’s physician will talk with you about the procedure and answer any questions you may have. While your child is waking up, his or her nurse will discuss home care instructions and demonstrate the use of any home medical equipment, such as clutches or slings, with you.
Once your child is awake, you will be instructed to bring your vehicle up to our discharge door, where a nurse will be waiting to help load your precious cargo into your vehicle for the drive home.
