Dr. Ames clinical interests include management of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries and regenerative orthopedics. He provides a comprehensive spectrum of care utilizing the latest rehabilitation techniques, orthobiologics, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and joint reconstruction. Dr. Ames utilizes a holistic approach to treating the whole patient. This philosophy guides his primary focus of helping patients return to a healthy active lifestyle.
Dr. Ames completed his fellowship training in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the prestigious New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA where he served as Assistant Team Physician for the NBA Boston Celtics and Merrimack College (NCAA Division I Athletics). He also cared for athletes from Harvard University and Tufts University. Andy is a Michigan native, former paramedic, and entrepreneur who found his passion in orthopedics. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, and attended medical school at Michigan State University College
of Osteopathic Medicine (Honors) where he learned the importance of holistic, patient focused care. Dr. Ames completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency training at Ascension Genesys Hospital.

Lisa Bohra, MD is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and adult strabismus surgeon. Dr. Bohra is highly trained and skilled in pediatric strabismus, pediatric cataract surgery, pediatric glaucoma surgery, treatment of retinopathy or prematurity and adult strabismus surgery. She has a special interest, and extensive experience, in treating children with uveitis, congenital glaucoma and many other genetic eye conditions. Dr. Bohra sees patients at Children’s Eye Care’s Clinton Township, Detroit and West Bloomfield offices.
In 2002, Dr. Bohra was the first woman to join the Department of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Bohra is now the Chief of Ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Her primary hospital affiliations include Children’s Hospital of Michigan and Beaumont Hospital. She’s also on staff at Ascension St John’s Hospital and Hurley Medical Center to service the neonatal intensive care unit by screening premature babies’ eyes for retinopathy of prematurity.
Blake Fenkell, DO, is a patient-focused orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who uses the most up-to-date modern resources to provide outstanding care to his Troy, Michigan area patients. At his self-titled practice, Dr. Fenkell and his team treat musculoskeletal pain, including ankle, knee, elbow, wrist, hip, and shoulder pain. He specializes in sports injuries and diseases that affect the joints, including arthritis.
Dr. Fenkell, a native of Metro Detroit, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He attended medical school at the Michigan State University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency through Beaumont Health System and then finished up an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship through University of Missouri Health Care, in Columbia, Missouri. During his fellowship training, he served as a doctor for the University of Missouri athletes.
Dr. David P. Schleimer is Board Certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery and has been in private practice since 2016. Dr. Schleimer’s practice takes a special interest in working with his patients to achieve a common goal in treatment of ear, nose and throat complaints. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The Ohio State University, Dr. Schleimer began his quest to treat human disease by performing basic science research investigating pediatric blood cancers at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Inspired by graduate courses in human development and otolaryngologic disorders, Dr. Schleimer elected to pursue his medical degree from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Further training in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery brought Dr. Schleimer to the greater Detroit area when he matched to the St. John-Providence residency program credentialed through Michigan State University. Seeing patients of all ages with ear, nose and throat illnesses motivates Dr. Schleimer to stay up to date on current medical and surgical options to return his patients to optimal health.
