Dr. Kyle Anderson, M.D., has been an orthopedic surgeon for the Detroit Lions for more than 21 years, was a team physician for the Detroit Tigers for seven years, and was an orthopedic consultant for the Detroit Red Wings for six years. He also has worked with school sports teams.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Anderson’s practice, Anderson Sports Medicine, is located in Bingham Farms, Michigan. As a sports medicine specialist and orthopedic surgeon, his interests include treating knee, shoulder, and elbow injuries.
As an undergraduate student, he played football under Bo Schembechler at the University of Michigan, which provided him with firsthand knowledge about athletic injuries, training, and treatment.
During his residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Anderson worked with the physicians of the Chicago Bears (1993 to 1999), Chicago Cubs (1997 to 1998), and Chicago Blackhawks (1994 to 1998). During his fellowship at the Hospital of Special Surgery in 1998-1999, he worked with physicians of the New York Giants and New York Mets.
Dr. Anderson also has developed several surgical instruments, authored more than 50 scientific research papers, and presented research at approximately 90 seminars and events around the world.
