Dr. Robert Kohen specializes in Orthopedic Surgery, and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He received his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and completed his residency at University of Michigan Hospitals. Dr. Kohen has also completed advanced training in Sports Medicine/Shoulder Service through his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
His clinical interests include arthoscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, ligament reconstruction, meniscal repair, pediatric ligament reconstruction, cartilage repair and replacement, biologic joint resurfacing, shoulder stabilization and labral repair, parital and total knee replacement, rotator cuff repair, fractures and ultrasound guided injections.
Dr. Kohen is affiliated with DMC Surgery Hospital (Madison Heights), Detroit Receiving Hospital (Detroit), and Children’s Hospital of Michigan (Detroit), and performs outpatient procedures at Oakland County’s premier surgical facility, UnaSource Surgery Center.
