Dr. Ciullo completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where he earned an honors degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2009, earning honors in Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his Surgical residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center, with rotations in general, oncologic, vascular, plastic, and trauma surgery. He also completed a fellowship in Pediatric Surgical Critical Care at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
After residency, Dr. Ciullo served as a General/Trauma/Critical Care surgeon at the Detroit Medical Center, primarily at Detroit Receiving Hospital. In 2017, he pursued a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute, specializing in complex hand, wrist, and forearm cases, including microvascular and micro-nervous repairs. Dr. Ciullo is dedicated to patient care and education, advocating for a patient-centered approach with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
